At last my BF is back (thought he was suppose to be back sooner, but I was mistaken…)!!
Before we had left on our separate trips, R and I agreed to celebrate our birthdays using a voucher for my subscribing to The National newspaper, but we ended up waiting until he returned to AD. At first, we had agreed to not tell each other when our birthdays were, content to just know that they were both in June and towards the end of the month. So, on the 15th for the past two years we’ve wished each other Happy Birthdays. But, that was when we were just friends…. Now, it just seemed a little strange to not know. I had deduced his before, but didn’t confirm. He deduced mine after me wondering why he wasn’t back yet, thinking he would be around to at least have dinner with me. π Last night, we confirmed each other’s dates. Phew! π
In any case, we decided to use the voucher and tried out a highly-reviewed new French restaurant located in the upscale Shangri-la hotel, Bord Eau. It was R’s first time out there, so we explored a bit and then enjoyed a very nice leisurely meal together in celebration.

Overall, it was a nice little restaurant with good food. The service was a bit spotty with our main server disappearing once our main course arrived. It was good that we had the voucher, but still a nice meal and place to eat just outside of the city hub.
Travels are soon to begin! YIPPEE!!!
