It dawned on me this morning that this is perhaps the first time in three years that I have stayed put during a holiday. It’s a little weird. Also, I haven’t been on my own for a while, so I have to admit that I’m quite a bit excited about the week. πŸ™‚

After dropping off R at the airport this morning, I had a short run and then a swim and an hour or so laying by the pool. I even marked/read a couple of essay drafts that I have to grade over the week. Once back in the apartment, I had to do a little organizing to put things just right – as I like them – since it’s all about ME this week and I can things HOWEVER I want and WHENEVER I want. uwahahah! (Note – things are at all bad normally, I just have to share and this week I don’t. :D)

Anyway, I do have a long, long list of things to get done. True to my crazy organized ways, I have made a list of things to do each day so that I don’t feel overwhelmed with everything and also so that I focus my energies. So far, I’m a little slow on getting started, but not yet in need of fretting. It is only the first day of vacation, after all. I deserve a little slack!

The weather is absolutely gorgeous! I’ve opened up all the doors and windows as well so for the first time since we moved here, I am not cold inside!

Well, that’s it for now. The rest of my day will entail:

– a snack
– a wee nap
– catching up with my BFF
– work/study
– preparing the beds for coming CSers this evening
– reading (not pleasure books, sadly)
– crocheting and watching TV

If I feel adventurous, I may go out later this evening. But, I think today might just be a stay at home kind of day! πŸ˜€
