Back during my life coaching sessions, I talked about how writing has been a dream for me since I was eight. I knew back then that power of words and wanted so much to share my stories with the world. I am not an eloquent speaker. I am not overly charismatic. However, I think I can write. I think I can create enough for a reader to engage in a story.
In any case, even if I do suck at it, it is my passion. Through the coaching, I learned to make it happen even as a small part of my life. So, I got onto Elance.com and Odesk.com, which are freelance sites and I began to look for something. I applied to a few posted jobs, but only got two. One was an easy recording job. The other has become an amazing opportunity.
Every two weeks or so, I read a book from Amazon’s best seller’s list and write a brief/summarized version of it. I have now been published with the first one. It’s pretty cool to type in my name on the search list and find something come up! More are coming and after I finish this third book, they have offered me a pay raise, which is fantastic. It’s the perfect side job for me as I can read and write – both activities that I adore!
Also, through the coaching, I realized that I wanted to also pursue it as a job or side work. My desire to share stories to help others is part of this. I can help others through helping them help themselves. It is a skill I have had for a long time, but did not know how to use it without getting into psychology. This works out great. So, I will be starting courses for this later in the month and will see how it goes.
On my career and professional level, there are some opportunities that might come through. If not, I already have taken on extra responsibility and will do that fully.
Therefore, my life is really picking up quickly. My dreams are coming true as I proceed with positivity and proactivity. My next big focus is money, and that too will come!
