It’s been almost two months since we returned from summer holiday and yet I am already considering what my travel options are for the next few months.
If we ever find out about the Eid holiday in a couple of weeks, then I might be heading to Istanbul for a few days, which will be great!
I am hoping my brother manages to get a passport and that flights work out for him to come visit in the winter, but just in case, I started looking for Plan B.
Option1: Was to fly home for the holidays instead, but when I saw that flights are nearly 2,000USD or more, I decided perhaps that wasn’t viable unless Santa wants to send me an early present of a plane ticket….
Option2: Was to visit my BFF in Japan, which is surprisingly a great deal cheaper than flying home, but still over the 1,000USD range and with other travel plans this year, I can’t justify that kind of money for a two-week holiday.
Option3: Was to try out Thailand again, but as it is their high season, tickets to Phuket were again in the 1,000USD range…!
Option4: Is to try somewhere in Europe. However, I’m concerned about the cold weather as well as the cost of travel there even if it is cold/low season…
Option5: Is to stay put and enjoy the weather and time off close to home. I could perhaps do an Oman trip or other activities in the country. It is only a two-week break, after all and so…I’m not sure.
Either way, something will be decided eventually. 😀
